Working with the team we gained an idea of the sort of décor they required to  portray the theme in mind. Using floor plans, pictures and a limited budget provided by Barclays  the Avari team came up with 3 different event ideas and pitched them to the  diversity team. We sourced traditional props and fabrics along with  entertainment for the event.Once we had agreed on a particular design, our events team had to  provide Barclays with a detailed method statement and risk assessment for all  the work we will be carrying out.
Day of the event: With such a small timeframe for us to pass security checks, offload and setup  the Avari team managed to complete its event brief quickly and safely to our client’s  satisfaction.

SKLPC Annual Festival

“Firstly i would like to thank you  all for all your hard work and the tremendous effort you and your team put into making this year’s annual mela a very successful  event. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all.  The stage decoration was brilliantly done and all gave very good comments.  The cultural dances were all very received by the crowd.  Will defiantly be asking you to join us again next year..”
Date: Sunday 10th July
Location: Northolt, London
Purpose of event: Charity  cultural mela
Audience: General public, members of the SKLPC
Approx no. of guests attending: Approx.  2000 guests
Setup time: One Day
Health & Safety:  Produced risk assessment and method statement and worked with health and safety team.
Preperation:  Contacted by the event committee for the Shree Kutch Leva annual mela,  we were asked if we could provide a stage setup unlike any they had done  before. Knowing that SKLPC is a charity, Avari Events decided they would do  this free of charge in return for some advertising. The event is held annually  and attracts thousands of Asians from the SKLPC community.
With this in mind the Avari team sat down, brainstormed ideas by  revisiting past events as well as potential concepts and came up with an  overall budget, concept, theme and design.
Contacted by the team in charge for the annual event, they asked us to  provide stage decorations free of charge. This is the first time this event has  outsourced any décor to an external company and we at Avari were only too happy  to undertake the challenge for charity.
We attended four logistics meetings in the lead up to the event to gain  an understanding of what was required right down to health and safety.
Avari Events pitched the idea of using the colours in the Indian flag as  a theme throughout the mela and corresponded by decorating our stall with the  same theme.
Day of the event: Setup was the day before the event, which  involved a large crew to assembly staging and for décor. On the day of the  event we had a stall to promote our services where our team filled 100’s of  balloons in accordance with the orange, white and green theme to give to the  kids at the event. The team thoroughly enjoyed themselves and gained a huge  sense of satisfaction knowing they had given something back to the community.

Imperial University Hindu Society

“Imperial College Hindu Society’s annual garba to celebrate Navratri has been a long standing popular event at Imperial. And as such, we ensure that everything about the event is of the highest possible quality. A large part of what people think of the event is down to how our hall is decorated and it is for this reason why we thank Avari Events for their brilliant work this year. We are a charitable society, and as such, we try and keep costs to an absolute minimum, which would not be possible without the cost-price contribution that Avari provide. Moreover, the quality of the service cannot be faulted; efficient in both setup and clear up, the team did a fantastic job in making the venue look incredible. The staff were helpful, kind and accommodating of those last minute changes that inevitably occur which really put us at ease from an organisation point of view. A lot of the comments from attendees were about how great the draping and lighting looked and pictures from the night show this. So, we cannot thank Avari Events enough for the service they provided..”
